*Key Roles & Responsibilities*

Sourcing & Analysis

• Identify high-potential startups and founders in targeted sectors
• Build deal pipelines, maintain CRM tracking, and conduct first-round screens
• Evaluate product, traction, team quality, and market opportunities
• Prepare startup research, founder profiles, and competitive assessments
• Support the preparation of investment memos and IC materials

Small Business Acquisition Diligence

• Research and source SMB acquisition targets (e.g., services, consumer, operations-heavy businesses)
• Analyze financials, revenue drivers, margins, and operational risks
• Conduct owner interviews and prepare due diligence summaries
• Evaluate growth opportunities, integration complexity, and upside potential
• Support valuation modeling, pricing scenarios, and negotiation preparation

Real Estate Development Analysis

• Research prospective real estate development sites (commercial, mixed-use, industrial, hospitality)
• Evaluate zoning, entitlement requirements, permitting timelines, and local regulations
• Analyze construction costs, operating projections, and investment feasibility
• Prepare site comparisons, development scenarios, and ROI models
• Support communications with architects, contractors, city officials, and brokers

Cross Deal Support

• Assist in preparing investment decks, financial models, and project summaries
• Conduct market, regulatory, and demand research across industries and regions
• Track deal flow, monitor key deadlines, and support due diligence coordination
• Help identify strategic partnerships, service providers, and external advisors
• Support post-acquisition integration or project execution when required

*Requirements*

• 3\+ years experience

• in VC
• private equity
• investment banking
• consulting
• corporate development
• or real estate analysis

• Strong financial modeling and due diligence skills
• Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and research tools
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple deals, and meet deadlines
• Highly organized, proactive, and resourceful

*Preferred Qualifications*

• Experience working with early-stage founders or startup ecosystems
• Familiarity with LOIs, term sheets, and deal documentation
• Knowledge of real estate development workflows (zoning, permitting, feasibility)
• Understanding of small business operations and value creation levers
• Ability to create concise investment memos and professional deal materials
