Chief Operational Officer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Operational Officer to join Our Company in Jakarta Raya. This is a full-time position that represents a strategic leadership opportunity within our organisation. As COO, you will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of our business, ensuring efficient execution of our strategic objectives and driving operational excellence across the organisation. This role is fundamental to our success, bridging the gap between executive vision and operational reality whilst maintaining the highest standards of performance and accountability.

Key responsibilities

1. Develop and implement operational strategies and policies that align with the company's overall business objectives and vision
2. Oversee day-to-day operations across all business units, ensuring compliance with established procedures and regulatory requirements
3. Manage and optimise operational budgets, resource allocation and cost control measures to maximise efficiency and profitability
4. Lead and mentor operational management teams, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and professional development
5. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, providing regular reporting and recommendations to senior leadership
6. Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and service delivery
7. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers and internal departments
8. Ensure business continuity and risk management protocols are in place and regularly reviewed
9. Represent the company at industry forums and represent operational interests at board level when required

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 10 years of progressive operational or general management experience, preferably in a business unit leadership or operations management role
2. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale operations and driving operational transformation within complex organisations
3. Strong strategic thinking ability combined with excellent execution and implementation skills
4. Demonstrated expertise in process optimisation, cost management and operational efficiency improvements
5. Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams
6. Advanced proficiency in data analysis, business metrics and KPI management
7. Strong financial acumen and understanding of P&L management and business economics
8. Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities at all organisational levels
9. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced qualification is preferred
10. Experience in multi-disciplinary or matrix organisational environments is advantageous
