Finance Executive - Part Time Remote

About the role

This part-time remote Finance Executive role at Etta Place offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a growing company. As part of our pre-opening team Hotel in Berawa, Canggu, Bali, you will play a key role in building and structuring financial systems from the ground up.

This role will focus on financial accounting and reporting, while also supporting the setup of efficient processes and systems to ensure accurate and timely financial information is available to key stakeholders. Flexible working arrangements are available for the right candidate.

What you'll be doing

1. Prepare and analyse monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
2. Assist with the month-end close process, ensuring all accounts are reconciled accurately and on time
3. Support the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
4. Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
5. Set up and manage accounting systems such as Xero, including proper expense tagging and account classification
6. Build and maintain a cohesive and structured P&L system for accurate financial tracking
7. Calculate and monitor beverage cost and other operational cost metrics
8. Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support to the wider business as required
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial information is understood and utilised effectively
10. Support the development of financial and administrative systems suitable for a growing startup environment

What we're looking for

1. Qualified accountant (CPA, CA or equivalent) with 3–5 years' post-qualification experience
2. Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, including preparation of financial statements and cash flow management
3. Experience with Xero or similar accounting software
4. Proven ability to set up financial systems and processes from scratch
5. Experience in calculating beverage cost or working within hospitality/F&B environments is a plus
6. Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
7. Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
8. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders
9. Comfortable working in a startup environment, with a proactive and hands-on approach
