Product Designer (UI/UX)

Key Responsibilities

- Design wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI screens based on product requirements and user needs.
- Assist in conducting user research, usability testing, and competitive benchmarking under the guidance of senior designers.
- Support product managers in defining user flows, interaction patterns, and interface layouts.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers to ensure designs are implemented accurately, using your understanding of HTML/CSS to facilitate smooth handoff.
- Contribute to the team’s design system by creating and updating reusable UI components, icons, and style documentation.
- Knowledge about basic HTML, CSS, or frontend code to bridge the gap between design and development.
- Participate in design critiques and team discussions to share ideas and receive feedback.
- Iterate on your designs based on user feedback, usability findings, and team input.
- Stay up to date with current design trends, tools, and emerging technologies including AI-powered design workflows.

Qualifications

Required:

- 2–5 years of professional experience in Product Design, UI/UX Design, or a related role.
- Portfolio showcasing UI/UX design work, including wireframes, prototypes, and final interface designs.
- Proficiency in Figma as a primary design tool (experience with Pencil or ClaudeCode is a plus).
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS; ability to read, write, or modify basic frontend code (e.g., responsive layouts, CSS styling, or simple component markup).
- Understanding of user-centricity design principles, basic usability heuristics, and visual design fundamentals.
- Ability to communicate design rationale clearly within the team and during design reviews.
- Good collaboration and communication skills; comfortable working in a cross-functional agile team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field—or equivalent hands-on experience and a strong portfolio.

Preferred:

- Experience working in health technology or digital product companies.
- Hands-on experience using AI-powered design and coding tools (e.g., Figma AI, Pencil, Claude, or similar) to accelerate design-to-code workflows.
- Experience with prototyping tools for motion design and micro-interactions (e.g., Figma prototyping, After Effects).
- Familiarity with cross-platform and responsive design for web and mobile (iOS/Android).
- Exposure to data-informed design—using analytics or heatmap tools to support design decisions.
