Video editor (Remote Full-time)

About the role

Yukiyo Cat Salon is seeking a full-time Video Editor who is more than just an editor—a storyteller who understands pacing, emotion, audience retention, and how to turn raw footage into content that people actually want to watch.

Key responsibilities

- Edit long-form YouTube videos (10 minutes or longer)
- Edit short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
- Add subtitles and captions
- Select music, sound effects, and supporting visuals
- Organize and manage project files
- Collaborate with the founder to develop video concepts and storytelling angles
- Suggest creative improvements to improve viewer engagement and retention
- Deliver approximately 4 long-form videos and 4 short-form videos per week

About you

- Proficient in DaVinci Resolve
- Strong understanding of storytelling and audience retention
- Good English communication skills
- Reliable internet connection
- Personal computer capable of handling video editing work
- Able to work during Singapore business hours
- Able to accept feedback and revise work when needed
- Experience editing YouTube content (bonus)
- Experience editing pet-related content (bonus)
- Portfolio showcasing storytelling ability (bonus)
