Finance Analyst - Record to Report (RTR)

## About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Analyst to support Record to Report (RTR) operations within a managed services environment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting period-end close activities, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

The ideal candidate is structured, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional stakeholders.

## Key Responsibilities

## Financial Closing & Journal Entries

- Prepare and post routine journal entries, including:

- Accruals and reversals
- Prepaid amortization
- Cost reclassifications
- Adjustment and correction entries
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
- Ensure all postings comply with documentation, approval, and cutoff requirements.

## Balance Sheet Reconciliation

- Perform balance sheet reconciliations using approved templates and tools.
- Validate balances against supporting schedules and sub-ledgers.
- Investigate and escalate unusual transactions, aging items, or unreconciled balances.
- Ensure reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.

## Intercompany Accounting

- Process intercompany transactions in SAP FI based on established procedures.
- Support intercompany reconciliation activities and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to investigate timing differences or mismatches.

## Fixed Asset Accounting

- Support fixed asset processes, including:

- Capitalization postings
- Depreciation runs
- Asset transfers and retirements
- Validate asset-related postings and supporting documents.
- Assist with reconciliation between Fixed Asset sub-ledger and General Ledger.

## Controls, Compliance & Audit Support

- Execute assigned control activities in compliance with SOX/RDS/FCM requirements.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation for audit purposes.
- Ensure adherence to accounting policies, SOPs, and internal controls.
- Store and organize supporting evidence in approved repositories.

## Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement

- Identify posting errors, reconciliation breaks, and data inconsistencies proactively.
- Perform initial investigation and escalate issues when necessary.
- Track issue resolution progress and support process improvements.
- Participate in process documentation, training, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

## Stakeholder Collaboration

- Coordinate with upstream and downstream teams to complete assigned activities.
- Respond to inquiries related to reconciliations, journal postings, and reporting.
- Support senior analysts and team leads during closing and audit periods.

## Qualifications

## Education

- Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

## Experience

- 1–3 years of experience in:

- Record to Report (RTR)
- General Ledger
- Financial Accounting
- Exposure to month-end close activities is preferred.

## Technical Skills

- Working knowledge of SAP FI is mandatory.
- Basic understanding of:

- Journal entries
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Intercompany accounting
- Fixed asset accounting
- Familiarity with IFRS principles is an advantage.

## Preferred Certifications

- Basic IFRS training/certification.
- Indonesian Registered Accountant (Ak.) certification is a plus.
